On China and 'The Art of War'
"As you know, I think China is already exercising its muscles in a war that will be their way of going to war. Certainly not the traditional military occidental way which have been predominant for so many centuries among the colonial powers (The USA being the last one) but more subtly the, ( if I may express myself this way) Sun Tzu way (one of my favorite books: The art of war).

"Buying Japanese yen and Korean won is a typical Sun Tzu way of putting them on their knees without having to fight and using the wonderful pretence of diversification of currency portfolio. I believe you will see more of this in the year to come.

David Fuller's view Well said. Fullermoney and a few others have also mentioned the probability of commodity wars, hopefully not of the shooting variety, on several occasions over the last eight years. Your point regarding the yen also occurred to me and I believe I mentioned it in at least one Audio.

Consider also China's near cornering of rare earth's metal supplies in recent years and their subsequent ban or reduction of exports for the same. China had more strategic vision than the developed countries, which were either asleep or blasé in assuming that they would be able to purchase whatever scarce resources they required.
