Fullermoney and a few others have also mentioned the probability of commodity wars, hopefully not of the shooting variety, on several occasions over the last eight years. Your point regarding the yen also occurred to me and I believe I mentioned it in at least one Audio.

Consider also China's near cornering of rare earth's metal supplies in recent years and their subsequent ban or reduction of exports for the same. China had more strategic vision than the developed countries, which were either asleep or blasé in assuming that they would be able to purchase whatever scarce resources they required.
