My personal portfolio

A trading profit taken

David Fuller's view

One of my biggest personal investments is in China where I also had a small leveraged trading long which had been rolled forward nearly three months ago.  I decided to take this profit last Friday, and while I mentioned this in Friday’s Audio, I forgot to write down the details in this section.  Here they are: My rollover purchase of the JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc on 17th June 2014 was at 153.3776 for the September contract.  This was sold on 12th September at 173.57.  These prices include all spread-bet dealing costs.

As a consequence of this sale, I no longer have any leveraged stock market long positions.  However, I have not sold any of my unleveraged long-term investment positions in stock markets, although I expect a somewhat bumpy ride.  If we see some 10%+ pullbacks, I am likely to increase some of these long positions, using accumulated dividends.  Alternatively, I could diversify a little more and start to build a new long-term position.
