Eoin's personal portfolio: commodity long stopped out at loss, stock market index short opened

One of the most commonly asked questions by subscribers is how to find details of my open traders. In an effort to make it easier I will simply repost the latest summary daily until there is a change. I'll change the title to the date of publication of new details so you will know when the information was provided.

I placed a stop on my platinum long at $850, against my purchase price of $987 from back on February 18th. It was triggered today. I still think platinum is by far the most undervalued precious metals but the sell-off in all risk assets is currently ignoring that fact.

I opened a short today in the India’s Nifty Index. It has been a relative strength leader over the last few weeks but is now exhibiting signs of more significant weakness. The country’s under developed medical system, dense population and inability to test people with potential infections represent significant risks to the market.

Moreover, India is prone to occasional crashes and the odds of another are increasing. Any significant pullback will likely create a once-in-a-decade entry point. I opened a short, selling at 9104 including spread-bet dealing costs.
