Phones are getting bigger because so much of what we use them for has northing to do with speaking to another person. The problem today is that phones are becoming so large that they are becoming unwieldy to put in one’s pocket. Samsung’s solution is to design folding phone.

As a supplier for screens that can fold Taimide Tech is a potential beneficiary. The share collapsed from its peak earlier this year and bounced last week from the TW$40 area. This week’s upside follow through suggests scope for a reversionary rally but it will need to post a higher reaction low on the first pullback to confirm a return to demand dominance beyond that.

Samsung Electronics has some of the lowest valuations in the technology sector. However, the share hit a medium-term peak in November 2017 and continues to hold a progression of lower rally highs.
