My personal portfolio

An investment position increased; a trade rolled forward

David Fuller's view

Among trades, I have allowed my Taiwan Index long to be rolled forward, even though it has not worked for me in the short term.  Accordingly, my March Taiwan contracts expired at 349.35 on 29th March against the purchases at 361.5 and 358.9 on February 25th & 26th, respectively.  As this was on automatic rollover, I simultaneously purchased April contracts at 349.65.  These prices include all spread-bet dealing costs.

In my personal long-term investment account, I finally sold a small position in the DB X-Tracker FTSE Vietnam (XFVT LN), which had not fared well, mainly because of the Vietnamese Dong’s significant devaluations a few years ago.  I sold XFVT on 30th March and used the proceeds, plus accumulated dividends in my main account, to increase my investment in Fanuc today, which was purchased at, which was purchased at ¥27054.
