The Markets Now

Guest speaker Dr Paul Jourdan’s presentation

David Fuller's view

Here is Dr Paul Jourdan's presentation.

When subscriber Paul Jourdan contacted me in 1992, he was a professional violinist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, which was conducted at that time by Simon Rattle.  I enjoyed meeting this young musician when he attended The Chart Seminar and could see that he was also very interested in stock markets.  Paul went on to get a PHD in music from Cambridge University, before commencing a fund management career with Steward Ivory in 1998.  Fast forward to today and he is CEO of the appropriately named Amati Global Investors in Edinburgh, which he co-founded.

Paul’s presentation at Markets Now on Monday was fascinating and very well received, not least regarding the forensic accounting challenges with small companies in which he specialises.  In looking at his slides, don’t miss the last page.
