My personal portfolio:

Denison Mines investment position increased; T-Bond short trade increased

David Fuller's view This afternoon I used the proceeds from my partial sale of Aberdeen New Thai on Wednesday, plus some accumulated dividends, to increase my investment in Denison Mines Corp (DML CN) (weekly & daily). I might have looked for a bigger pullback as Denison has been very strong recently, until the last week, but it is still within the large base formation and uranium's rate of advance increased this week. I paid C$2.13 for this top-up versus my earlier purchases at C$1.46 and C$1.48 in July and August. This increased holding in DML lifts it into 10th position in my personal top-10 long-term equity portfolio, pushing the Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust into 11th position.

This evening I reopened another short in US 30-year Treasury Bonds, selling at 130.93, including spread-bet dealing costs. This was 0.89 points above where I took a trading profit on Wednesday. I may continue to trade this second position actively, given additional weakness.

Weather conditions continue to play havoc with agricultural commodities at a time when demand is rising. My contact in the trade does not expect corn (weekly & daily) to stay at 580¢ for very long. Disclosure, I am long corn futures.

In after hours I increased my platinum long, paying $1707.7, including spread-bet dealing costs.
