Eoin's personal portfolio: hedge short introduced in bond position September 1st

Eoin Treacy's view

One of the questions subscribers ask most often is how to find details of my open trades. To make it easier I will simply repost the latest summary on a daily basis until there is a change.

The breakeven stop on my long gold position was hit today at $1960 including spread-bet dealing costs.

The downside key reversal on Treasuries on September 1st prompted me to hedge my TLT long with a spread-bet short on the Treasury future. I sold the December contract at 110.56 including spread-bet dealing costs.

With Grayscale’s courtroom success on August 30th I bought back my crypto positions. I opened a long in bitcoin at 26974 including spread-bet dealing costs.

I bought unleveraged positions in Riot Platforms at Coinbase at $11.59 and $82.19 respectively.

I still hold my longs in both PagSeguro and StoneCo opened on August 1st, at $11.40 and $14.58 respectively. This is on the basis that Brazilian fintech shares will be benefit from rate cuts.

I re-initiated my Nasdaq-100 short on July 20th. I opened a short in the September contract at 15,594 including spread-bet dealing costs.

I bought the Apple January 19th 2024 $180 put on June 5th at $11.10. I believe there is a strong possibility Apple is in the process of posting a failed upside break and a reversion towards the 1000-day MA is increasingly likely.

I bought an investment position in the iShares 20+ year Treasury ETF (TLT) today at $108.525 on January 18th.

I bought the Global X Uranium Miners’ ETF at $21.08 on January 6th.
