Email of the day on futures for resources indices

Can you advise what futures contracts are available that could get me exposure to resources indices. I.e. metals. Thank you

Thank you for this question which others may have an interest in. Bloomberg took over UBS’ commodity indices a few years ago when it exited the market so the Index is now called the Bloomberg Commodity Index.

There is a future listed on the Chicago Board of Trade with 18500 contracts open in the June maturity with volume of about 200 a day.

Not to be outdone the Chicago Mercantile makes a market in futures for the S&P GSCI (Goldman Sachs Commodity Index). There are fewer contracts outstanding at around 12000 and it also trades around 200 a day.
