"Dear David, I would like to recommend a book to the Collective: Death of a red heroine, by Qiu Xiaolong. A good novel/thriller. More than the plot what I found very interesting was the description of the changes faced by Chinese people with the Cultural Revolution back in the 50´s and after that with the "free-capitalism" reforms. Very good reading. Should be even better if you have been to Shanghai (not my case)."
