to my comments in response to Email 2 yesterday, I have always assumed that
central banks would prefer monetary metals not to rise too quickly. Beyond this,
some individuals and usually firms do attempt to 'game' markets, and thus it
always was. This might make trading more difficult but can usually be dismissed
as 'market noise' by long-term investors.
