on supply chain companies:
“I saw this article in the Sunday Oregonian. The company is Precision Castparts. Boeing, Air Bus, Rolls-Royce and General Electric are their four biggest customers. Lately on some sites I read you see the hype for investing in the suppliers who supply some of the world dominator stocks such as Apple, Microsoft etc. This may be one of those companies with 7.2 billion market cap. Anyway, I thought you may find this article an interesting read. It comes as two *jpg's" that's the way I scanned them."

Eoin Treacy's view Thank you for this email and interesting interview from the Oregonian. There is some merit to investing in the suppliers of key components for some of the world's major brands. One of the key concerns for such companies is the degree to which they are dependent on large companies and the pressure those customers exert on margins. At Fullermoney we continue to rely on the price action as the ultimate arbiter.

Precision Castparts has held a progression of equal to higher reaction lows since early 2009 and has found support in the region of the 200-day MA on successive occasions. It lost momentum from October and posted a large weekly key reversal as it failed to hold the move to a new all-time high in January. The share has returned to test the MA and the progression of higher reaction lows but a clear upward dynamic will be required to confirm a return to demand dominance in this area.

Among its peers, BE Aerospace has returned to test the upper side of the underlying range and the 200-day MA. The $40 area represents a potential area of support and a sustained move below it would constitute a major trend inconsistency. Barnes Group pulled back below its MA two weeks ago and a clear upward dynamic will be required to check momentum and suggest a return to demand dominance. Cobham is an S&P Europe 350 dividend aristocrat and rallied to break its more than two-year downward earlier this year. It found support above the 200-day MA two weeks ago and a sustained move below 210p would be required to check potential for continued higher to lateral ranging.
